More questions on Sports Scheduler

Can I edit a schedule after it is created?

Answer – Yes. Sports Scheduler has built-in, on-screen edit commands that allow unlimited editing changes to be made to any schedule. With just a few keystrokes you can:

  • swap the location of any two selected team pairs
  • swap the location of any two selected teams
  • add or insert extra games
  • change the date, time and location of games
  • add notes anywhere in the schedule
  • remove and save games in the makeup area

In addition, any time you use a Sports Scheduler edit command to change the date of a game, or move teams around, the program immediately checks the entire schedule to make sure you have not accidentally moved teams into playing twice on the same day. A warning message will appear and the team names (with a same day conflict) will be highlighted on the screen. If you don’t want the conflict, simply press ESC and the program restores the game back to it’s original state before you executed the change. Or, if you want the change (intentional double header), simply press ENTER to accept it.

There is no limit on the number of teams or divisions you can schedule.

Can I import schedules into my own word processor program?

Answer – Yes. Schedules are saved in ASCII text (some times referred to as DOS text) format. All word processor programs and most data base programs can recall or import these files. (Recalling schedules into your word processor program provides additional editing and printing options.)

More questions on Sports Scheduler

Will the program create a master game list of all divisions?

Answer – Yes. You select the desired schedules you want included on a single master game list. Sports Scheduler loads all the marked schedules into memory at one time and sorts all games by date, field and time. The new master game list can be edited, printed, saved as a file and be recalled into Sports Scheduler for editing.

Yes It’s quick and easy to close or pre-book time slots.

More question on TimeSlot Scheduler

Why is TimeSlot Scheduler only $299.95 when other time slot scheduling programs cost thousands of dollars?

Most time slot reservation programs on the market are elaborate and expensive because so many none scheduling functions are added to their programs. For example, inventory control, maintenance functions, registration administration, accounts receivable/payable, mailing lists, etc. None of these other functions have anything to do with booking users or customers into time slots. The more bells and whistles or extras that are added to programs, the more costly and complex they become.

TimeSlot Scheduler is designed to help the individuals to control and reserve time slots. The program generates, for each user, a full season list of time slots assigned to them. A user printout of time slots can include a fee for each time slot (totaled). If you need to make changes to a users assigned time slots (add, subtract, or move a user to different time slot(s), simply make the changes on the screen, then print a new report. The new list reflects the changes and the total is adjusted for the changes automatically.

More question on TimeSlot Scheduler

What kind of reports will TimeSlot Scheduler generate?

The program prints the following reports:

  1. Daily Report for one location (example: Court-3).
  2. Daily Report for all locations (example: Courts-1 through 8).
  3. User list of assigned time slots (whole season) with fee amount.
  4. User list of assigned time slots (whole season) without fee.
  5. Any single time slot listing all users for entire file (includes open slots).

Why did you develop TimeSlot Scheduler to run as a DOS program and do you plan a Windows version in the future?

TimeSlot Scheduler is a business application that creates and uses large data files that could contain up to 3.7 million time slots per file. Large data files are processed much faster in DOS than in Windows. To solve the problem of speed, and to make our programs compatible with all three of the most widely used operating systems (DOS, Windows 3.x, and Windows 95), the program was developed inside the Windows 95 environment at the DOS level. This allows anyone with a DOS or Windows computer to be able to purchase and use our software programs.

In addition, there are many Parks & Recreation Departments, YMCA’s, Schools, Youth Sports Programs, etc., still using older computers and operating systems that would not be able to use our products if they were developed strictly for Windows.

The speed of new computers are much faster, and will get even faster. We are preparing for the future and are currently developing a Windows only version of all our products.
